Hey Bloggers,

Bill here, just wanted to share some of our new digital tools with you all.

First, you guys have been great checking out Tornado Alley Live, and have greatly helped get it launched this spring. It is also nice to see how you guys are “fanning” Gary on Facebook. Don’t forget to also fan Brett Anthony, and if you are not a fan of NBC Action News on Facebook, now is the time to connect. We are giving away an Apple® iPad™ to users who become fans and enter by June 30!

On to the new tools. We have partnered with WDT, our partner with our interactive radar on the site and Tornado Alley Live, to release iPhone and  iPad Interactive Weather Center apps. The apps allow you to use the interactive radar, stay updated on warnings & watches, and get the latest forecasts from the team. You can even see the latest blog postings on the iPhone app. Here are some pics from the apps.

Take a look at these news apps, and tell us what you think. The iPhone app is free, while the iPad version of the App is $3.99. You can also download our main app, which includes the latest forecast and video, along with tools to send in your weather pics. It is available in the iTunes Store and in the Android Marketplace.

As always, feel free to drop me a line about any ideas or improvements you have for the Blog or NBCActionNews.com. Thanks!
